Flour made especially for breading tempura. Mix with ice cold water according to the instructions on the bag to create the batter, and then you can dip the cut pieces of vegetables, fish, or shellfish in it before putting them in the frying hot oil.
Served with a small bowl of tsuyu, which we also sell here in the shop, and it's also very nice to add 1-2 spoons of grated Japanese radish in the tsuyu. Naturally paired with steaming hot fresh white rice.
