Gohan Desu-yo! is standard inventory in most Japanese refrigerators - the little glass of fermented nori seaweed is loved by most, when a bit of extra flavor is desired for especially rice dishes.
It brings loads of umami, and as so many other things in Japanese cuisine, it's supposedly also good for the digestion and the digestive system.
